Guests who have a work or school account in Microsoft Entra ID can accept the invitation and authenticate directly. The guest receives a welcome email from the team owner, with information about the team and what to expect now that they've been added. You can control guest access to individual teams by using sensitivity labels. Guest access in Teams is an organization-wide setting and is turned on by default. To compare guest access with shared channels, see Plan external collaboration. Shared channels offer an alternative to guest access, allowing you to invite people outside your organization without requiring a guest account in Microsoft Entra ID. If you add a guest directly to the Microsoft 365 group associated with a team, the guest will get access to the team but the Microsoft 365 group doesn't generate an invitation email to the guest, so someone on the team should notify the guest. Team owners can add those guests to their teams. Guests you have already added via Microsoft Entra B2B, Microsoft 365 Groups, or SharePoint are ready to go. At the bottom of the page you’ll find a “Stop sharing” button. Here, you can access the invitation link and optionally disable it to prevent new people from joining. To stop sharing a list, return to the “List sharing” popup and click the “More options” button at the bottom of the screen. To-Do also supports assigning tasks to the users in the list, so you can keep track of who’s working on each item. They’ll be able to add, edit and view tasks, so you can work collaboratively within To-Do. Once a person has joined the list, you’ll see their name in the “List sharing” popup. They’ll need to login to To-Do with their Microsoft account credentials, so To-Do can track usage and display usernames. Anybody with access to the link will be able to view and edit the items within your list. You can now send this link to the people you’d like to share the list with. This will display the “List sharing” popup.Ĭlick the blue “Create invitation link” button to generate a link for your list. Select the list you want to share and click the person icon in the bottom-right of the list header. You can convert any existing To-Do list into a shared list. The sharing procedure is quite straightforward, as To-Do uses simple links to grant access to lists. Microsoft To-Do has support for shared lists, which allow multiple users to collaborate on tasks.
